Electronics company leads the way with staff wellness
Currys Loughborough Campus uses Seated Acupressure Chair Massage during their wellness week to enhance staff wellbeing
January 2026 and I was privileged to be invited to Currys Loughborough Campus to administer Seated Acupressure Chair Massage to staff members during their wellness week.
This is a contact centre which assists their customers in support and sales among other things and I was impressed at how busy this large organisation is with many employees.
With this type of organisational structure comes the need for employers to ensure that the well-being of their staff is being met in the workplace and I was invited to do Seated Acupressure chair massage in their dedicated wellness room to support their staff. The aim being to leave them feeling relaxed, invigorated and de-stressed.
Organiser and Team Leader Yvette Seyfang- Lewis told me that they have a number of events for wellness week and massage services is always the most popular with the staff.
This was the first time that Seated Acupressure Massage was used and all of the feedback received was really positive. One staff member stating "It was a quiet, relaxing and calming experience which is something your mind and body needs. Would recommend to others as well".
Another also said "Incredible! I feel so relaxed and all the tension in my back is gone. Thank you".
I for one will always champion this type of treatment as we live in times where stress and anxiety is prevalent so anything that helps support and minimise that is a good thing.
An organisation like Currys clearly understands that staff wellness creates a positive and cohesive workforce and I thoroughly enjoyed my two days with them.
